Originally I was aiming for a more Greek feel to parody BMW’s new EV campaign that featured the Greek gods. I chose Poseidon as his trident is used in the logo for Maserati, which is Step One Automotive’s flagship brand, so as a way of nodding to the nation that he came from I made the title caption fully in Greek.
Of course, I realized that Maserati is an Italian brand, and what better way to parody an ad featuring the Gods then to feature their Roman counter parts?
Not much of an update aside from adding the literal planet for Neptune. It sort of adds a more aesthetic appeal to the project. I also simplified the Maserati logo at the bottom of the piece.
One of the main revisions for this project would be the fact that most of the design takes away from the actual focus of the piece being the cars at the bottom of the page. My final edit was to change the top of the image to have just the word Maserati as the title caption, and to create more focus on the logo at the bottom of the page.
Another edit I may end up doing in the future is changing the color of the cars to be brighter to avoid having them blend in to the waves.
